Yes, the cloth in the door cards have been replaced with the black leather to match the seats. Down the line, I might go with a blue leather contrast on the door cards, but for now, you can see the leather door cards in the first picture. This was included in installation. I still have plenty of leftover leather from Katzkin that is also inlcuded. As for the shifter, i am taking the shitboot, Ebrake, and center console to a friend that does great detailed work. It will all be swapped with my matching Katzkin leather and blue stitching. I will add padding to the center console as well.
Share any details on padding used. Type or name.
Thanks. Looks good.

Hi Folks,

Another back story. I was in Victorville California, have been booted out of the house by my parents. (long story). The car of choice for Mods were 57 Chevys. A fellow I knew that had dropped a 427 into his car traveled to Tijuana Mexico for an upholstery job on his car. At this time, the diamond stitch pattern was all the rage. Upon returning, the fellow was proud to show off the car. Only problem was it started to smell. Why? Well...the stuffing that was used was Horse Shit. Buyer be ware...

Looks great! I’ve actually been debating buying an XLT instead of a Lariat and having this done since it looks so much better than OEM.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Katzkin for my 2019 Ranger project. The quality is better than I expected. Looks OEM. I decided to go with their "XT" leather. This leather is thicker and made to take a beating. While their other leather options are softer, more like the German automakers, the XT is meant to get dirty and stand the test of time. With my outdoor lifestyle of surfing and snowboarding, this was a perfect fit.

I chose black leather, with contrasted blue stitching to match the Ford logo. I did not want to go over the top with suede or anything crazy. Blue happens to be my favorite color as well. Feel free to ask any questions. Let me know what you think!

Looks great, man, and will certainly wear better and longer than OEM. Did you notice that it gives more support, that is, a firmer ride, than the OEM materials, or is it a wash in that regard?

Hi Gary,

It was well known that you do not drop off your car and go watch a girlie show...you have to stay and watch like a hawk. Buddy and I took his TR2 sports car ... rolling pos...been wrecked etc. Got to the shop of his choice about 11am or so...only doing the seats in Tuck and Roll.....did not get the job done until 1:30 am....Then drive back to Victorville.... Never again....not worth it. Shop did a nice job but the owner tried to entice us to leave...free transportation to club of our choice... Nothing doing...leave the Senorita's alone.

Guy with the 57 Chevy wadded it up street racing...car was work in progress Mostly body in primer...Fortunately guy was not hurt. Think the motor was salvaged... I only knew him as I was a pump jockey at the Ben Hur Gas Station in town and he bought his gasoline from us....a few dollars at a time as money was tight.. I was making minimum wage $1.47/hr. back in 1967... Regular gas was 29.9 cents per gallon for regular.

I highly recommend that! You can choose whatever leather and style you want.

This is a much firmer ride with the XT leather. It also has more support in the bolsters and the diamond stitched area. Feels like little pillows for each dimond.
