my iPod classic works in the usb port. can be controlled via touchscreen. interface is a little clunky. it's been several months since I used it last, but I think the touchscreen limits functionality when the vehicle is moving. I think i could play, pause, skip songs but couldn't search albums or artists while driving.

I run my iPod classic (160gb) thru the center USB input under the the dash. Sometime it connects and plays fine and even shows the songs on the infotainment screen, and I can control the songs with the turn signal button, other times it won't connect at all, not sure if there is a fix for this, as I too like to use this device which has almost 80 gigs of music on it
In my 16' GTI it would work fine, can scroll through songs and playlist an control it with my steering wheel, only issue was sometime the Ipod would randomly shut off, but I think it's the Ipod itself not the car. Exactly what I was hoping to hear, thanks.
