I get the whole "better airflow" concept, but what is this guy's beef with the resonator? Is it just that he wants the engine to be louder, or am I completely missing something?

He has accomplished nothing with this mod. Listening to him speak gives me little faith in his words.

Driving through a big enough puddle in the road has the potential to lock up a motor that has a big open cone filter on it, don't even need a water crossing lol.

Which really sucks if you gotta pay for all that labor. Cost my buddys brother 14 hours to replace the motor in his sentra.

They sell hydro sheilds that help bead/repel water. Not the perfect solution but adds a little more protection. But yeah, if youre planning on deep puddle driving I would choose a different CAI.
