This just happened to me with my 2019 Ranger! Came out of the mall and thought someone out their hair extension in there! Lady at the service center asked if I hit an animal smh. Does anyone have recommendations on what after market system to purchase?

I have the same problem right now on my 2019, any update on whether leaving it alone caused any problems? Money is tight and I'd rather pull the hair our when it appears than replace the muffler.
I haven’t done anything about it since and haven’t noticed any problems. It may be the slightest bit louder but nothing anyone else would notice. Eventually I’ll replace but I haven’t had any more come out since the first time!

mine was the exact same last week. 2019 45k
I believe this is covered under the 100k mile warranty! Dealer told me the reason they wont cover mine is because of my mileage which is 107k….wanna trade? LOL

Cures the fungus that causes hair loss in horse tails:

Seriously, it should do no damage as the muffler is downstream of the catalytic converter, although he truck may get louder over time. there is an 8 year 100k mi emissions system warranty, maybe the muffler is covered under that?
Im at 107k so they wont cover?

I have been getting a lot of fibreglass packing coming out of my exhaust. Dealer said it’s Normal, however I’ve never seen any other vehicle do this. Anyone have this issue? It’s happened on two separate occasions.

I've seen another thread in the forum about that.

Had it come out of my ‘17 Escape, and a friend had it coming out of his ‘16 Expedition.

I know for my Escape, it had some spirited driving over the course of 5 hours on a hat summer day, so I wasn’t actually surprised 🙂. My mechanic friend not to fret over it.

Maybe I don’t drive my Ranger hard enough…

Good to know. Seems to be the same for me. Only comes out when I have a heavy foot. Still though, when it happened today, I floored it and there was a big delay ( and what I felt was a reduction in power) and sure enough I looked at the exhaust there was 5ft long horse tail. I don’t usually drive it this hard, but I should be able to have fun once in a while without my exhaust puking its guts out. Doesn’t seem normal.
