Mine did something similar this morning. When shifting from 1st to 2nd it basically went into neutral and was free revving. Let off the gas and it finally went back into gear. Bone stock 22 with 26000km. Love the truck, but the transmission is quirky to say the least.

Prior to owning my ranger I owned a Elantra. My local dealer told me that Hyundai is putting in brand new short blocks at no cost to the costumer even out of warranty because the engines are known to fail. Not sure why ford can’t do the same with these transmissions….

Quick update, weather warmed up and noise is completely gone.

It does seem worse when it’s cold. Only -10 today and still making noise. A warm front is moving hopefully it’s goes away.

Hey guys I have a pretty pronounced creak when making a sharp left turn. Doesn’t look like anything is rubbing, I have winter tires installed, the wheel diameter is the same as the stock wheel. The winter tires are narrower. 2022 ranger with 10000km.

Will hold out for the dealer. Thought it might be an easy job. Bought the truck 600km away due to lack of supply in my area, I am guessing it’s missing the piece also due to supply chain shortages. Thanks for the replies. Geoff
