High pitch / frequency "squeak" coming from Fox Shocks, possibly?

1k miles on my XLT Tremor. I'm getting a high pitch "squeaking" noise going over any small bumps or rough road, not even off road. Oddly, not going over speed bumps...but any speed over 5MPH and I get a super annoying "squeak" sound coming from the back of the vehicle going over any sort of road that isn't perfectly smooth.

At first I thought it was from inside the cabin, tore apart the back seat and all attachment points and found nothing.

Took it to dealer and service manager did a ride along and couldn't hear anything (the next tech said he is old and losing his hearing!)....okay, I asked for another tech and he heard it right away. Said "definitely the shocks" and that he sees Raptors with this issue as well, and that it "might go away" Well, that's obviously an unacceptable answer. The sound is 100% consistent, doesn't go away under any driving circumstances. Vehicle is only silent on super smooth road.

I'm going out of town for a week so I'm going to leave it with the dealer so they can pinpoint the issue with the stethoscope...it's definitely an unacceptable issue and sounds like my back end is one bump away from an axle separation, but yeah it's probably the shocks...

Does anyone have any feedback on this issue? Would be highly appreciated!

Does it sound like a pissed off bird? Goes away a bit when you get on the gas?

If yes, it isn't the shocks. Mine was an issue with the bushings where the bed is mounted to the frame towards the back. Took my dealer a week and driving it without any shocks installed to find.

Yes, that sound sounds pretty accurate. My first hunch after I ruled out any cabin issues was that it was a frame issue so that makes sense.

It only goes away when I am on the gas because it sounds like a lawnmower anyway and mutes the angry birds! That's my take anyway...but thanks for the feedback I'll mention to the dealer to check the bushings.

Driveshaft center support bearings are common, so are the brake rotor backing plates contacting the rotor, if the noise is only while the vehicle is in motion.

If I bring it to Barstow can you take a look at it? The techs down here are just throwing their hands up, they are clueless. Actually looking at the e-brake line at the moment, the sound may just subside / eliminate when I have the e-brake slightly engaged...but maybe it's just the brake alert covering the squeak :)

Thanks for the feedback.

I had a 2020 drove it 30k miles and never had an issue, absolutely loved it! Then CarMax offered me more than my sticker price so I sold it and got a 2021 Tremor...Tremor has some real annoying issues but I still love the truck. Theoretically. I need to get this squeak eliminated is a major *****

So far mine has been silent since I greased that junction thing for the ebrake. As in, I didn't realize it was making more than the chirping noise when braking.. much happier with the truck now.

I wonder if it once had a cover to protect it from dust etc that was deleted for cost savings. Sort of looks like a cover should be there.

I second checking the e-brake cable and any potential rub points. Been an issue on most trucks I've owned and a dab of grease at the rub point generally gets rid of the chirping noise.
