Owned two Harleys, oil all over the floor...?

I have had a lot of motorcycles. Had a bad seal between the engine & primary on a 2002 HD FLHTC that was fixed under warranty, other than that all the other Harleys I have had never leaked oil. And I have had about 15+ Harleys. I had a Yamaha Road Star and I had to replace a seal on it because it leaked oil. Other than that, all the other Yamahas did not leak. My 75 Honda CB750 was a leaker too though, but that was a long time ago. If you had an 87 FXR, I can imagine it wasn't perfect either. And being that the Evolution engine was still new just introduced in 84, it had some issues. Glad you enjoyed the FZ1's. At 6'2" I felt like a pretzel on the sport bikes I test rode. Loved all the cruisers and standards though! Have a good day Wil

last time I rode a Harley (some yrs back) the thing shook so much I thought I was going to pee my pants.

What kind of Harley was it that shook that bad? The pre 2001 Softails and the older Sportsters vibrated big time. However, all my girlfriends loved them ?

Mostly joking about the Harley oil leaks, just propagating the myths! The FXR actually had a stripped drain plug so used a rubber expansion plug that was cheaper than getting a Helicoil or new pan. Did have parts fall off from vibration!
Why FZ1? There’s no way to share with others the feeling of 0-60 in 3 seconds!!!
