Hello All,
I know it’s not a Ranger post but I really need to pay tribute to this great man to my many friends here. If this is inappropriate then I will not be offended if it’s removed.

I had a great experience by attending a christening ceremony for a ship named after him. Woody was a very humble man that I had the honor to meet and converse with…

He’s the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from WWII. He will lie in honor at our nation’s Capital. A true American Hero!!

Please enjoy our Independence Day ceremony that he fought proudly to preserve!!

Enjoy ALL!!

im not the sharpest hook in the tackle box but, i noticed hes wearing what seems to be a glove on his left hand when he is with the president. bare handed on the right. in the other picture he is carrying a flame thrower... so my question is are the two related? is that "glove" a dressing for a burn etc?

Reading about Mr. Williams, says he received his purple heart for shrapnel in his leg while on Iwo Jima. Can't find any info on why he's wearing the glove on his left hand.

I’m surprised Post Patrol hasn’t told you there’s already a thread on this. Go buy a lottery ticket.

The other post is labeled differently and likely wouldn't have shown up even if the OP had done a search of titles.
In any case, there's info here that's not seeming to be on the other thread. Good read about a great American.
