Nice! What made you decide on the Ranger and not a new Colorado?

Congrats. I test drove a couple used Colorado's. They seemed nice but I ended up with a brand new Ranger. I just prefer Ford stylings and the Ecoboost is fun.

Nice! What made you decide on the Ranger and not a new Colorado?
I did test drive a new Colorado at the dealer I bought the 2015. They offered me a heck of a deal. I did have a motor issue with the 2015 and they put a new motor it it. I told the Ford dealer about the motor and shared allmy service records as we do keep all of that and they said that actually motor change didn't help the trade like I thought) Didn't have a lot of recalls and other than the motor problem nothing serious so I was open to hearing what they had to say. When Ford brought the Ranger back I was thinking of it when time to trade off so looked for what I wanted.

For me....
Chevy-I had the 6cyl. so it had plenty of power to pull. I had to put a level kit on the 2015 and would have had to do the same for a 20 or 21. It drives more like a car and my wife liked that but I drive it mostly. I liked it but I like a truck. Colorado's are cheaper than Ford. Better standard package with power seats for one.

Ford-Better safety rating. Has more package options. I like the higher stance, will not have to put a level kit on it for bigger tires later. I like the interior better. Not that they will be used much but the back seats are better and removable when I want to throw gun and gear back there. Shifts smoother than the Colorado ever did. At times the Colorado tranny seemed to slip for lack of a better term. I took it in for service and they reported nothing wrong and normal. My father-in-law bout a 2016 Colorado and it did the same. In fact, a lot of complaints about that. However, when pulling it never did. The Ford 4cyl is snappier for lack of better term.

It is not a chevy/ford thing. Like our farm corp, we are not all Deere or New Holland, lots of pretty colors. However, We are loyal to the dealers for service and buy some brands for years for certain pieces of equipment. My wife has always drove a Ford SUV, explorers and now an escape BUT when ready to trade hers off we will look at the blazer now it is back.
For farm truck we have a Chevy HD 4x4 diesel.

WOW, Sorry for the long winded post. Have a great day and GO Cyclones and Hawks!!
