I just noticed that my grille is starting to oxidize. Has anyone else had/have this problem? It's just the middle grille.

Do you use polish on it? might be just residue that is hard to wipe off. If that's not the case, yours is still under the bumper to bumper warranty, I'd have the dealer look at it.

I only wash it with the same soap as the rest of the truck, but it is only the center section of the grille showing it. Have to get the service done this month so I will show them.

Don't you just love Mother Nature? She is one tough old bitch, who can curl any one's hair, tan your skin while cancer erupts all through it, cause cataracts, and make new cars (and their drivers) look old before their time.

Well , I gotta ask , has it been 303'd ?
Just the paint not the grille. I do no plastic or rubber with any product. Just soap and water. And just for that reason... been down that road before.

what soap are you using?

its so far not been a common problem. this is the first i have heard of it.
Been using the chemical guys mr pink and never seem to be a problem. It's just in that one spot. I tried to clean it with a coarse tooth brush in the right hand grille pic. I will check again after next wash. I just noticed it as I was doing another coat of 303 this morning. Pain in the ass to do the honeycomb.

Finally figured it out.... When I got a rinse wash a few days ago, to get rid of some bugs, the the guy sprayed some kind of product on the front grille to take them off. I had a heck of a time (2hrs) removing the scale (By toothbrush). I reconditioned the grille and it's back to normal. I guess I'll wait to get home next time.

Well..., All the oxidization in my grille came back after I thought I had it resolved. Took it to the dealer yesterday to purchase the front and back ford smoked black stainless steel ovals (front and back). I showed them my grille and they are going to replace it under warranty and install the black ovals for the trouble. All is well.

That is very weird, I think you're the first person to encounter this issue.

Yes, that's what the warranty guy said. But he also said it was definately oxidization. And if there is one there are two.

My 2020 ranger looked the same! Just not as bad. Always thought it was where i didn't clean well enough after a car wash
