That’s a lot of filters. For some folks, that would last a few years and for others, it might be a lifetime supply. For @Scott D , this is a lifetime supply…

Ford recommends changing the oil once a year, regardless of how little we drive them.

The "Change Engine Oil Soon" alert comes up on my screen above the steering wheel every December.

Edit: I change the oil filter, too, of course. Many years ago, I worked on a Quincy 325 air compressor that had a spin-on oil filter that had a tiny rust hole in it because the machine got very little use and had water build-up in the oil. Weird things happen with mechanical stuff when they're not used how they're supposed to be used.
