Speaking of Sync 3 updates...I currently have 3.4/21020 and need to get 3.4/21194. Don't have a modem so have to do mine through a flash drive. Have tried yesterday and today to get the update on Ford's site and.... "Oops! Something went wrong on our end. A message has been sent to our support team, please try again later." Was supposed to be fixed in several hours but nothing yet.

I have an iPhone because that’s what my work gives me and I have an IPad because, well, I have an IPhone :). I am not a big phone person and I am a minimalist user compared to many of you guys, so I ask this from ignorance on the topic, but how is the Apple “ecosystem” different from the Android “ecosystem”.
They have more in common than they have differences. Products can be built to allow the individual absolute control, or can be designed to enslave and surveil. Both offer great marketing opportunities. Guess which model corporates and governments like!

I ditched Windoz many years ago for Linux. Now have a Linux phone too. Opensource free SW and OSes. What is not to like.

They push people forward by forced updates. Many have the tech skills to find work arounds like jailbreak or rooting, but the vast majority are drug along by their tech need. Yes, I said 'need'. If you want to work and function in today's world, you are kinda forced.

What's additionally interesting (sly), is when a good alternative comes along, the big ones buy them and bury them. The bigs will cherry pick some of the cool elements, but otherwise they just bury it to keep themselves in place as the only option.

What's worse, is that when the latest model comes out, the older ones seem to all of a sudden to slow down or eat thru battery life. That's partly due to the older ones not having the power to handle the new OS.
