So, I'm not sure I'm understanding the offset measurements that I see. For instance, I look at a rim and it says +12mm offset. Does this mean that the face of the tire once mounted will sit flush with the fender? I know that the size of the tire (that's what she said) matters. What I'm looking at doing is getting rims with a 265/70/17 tire (probably Falken...but more likely Nitto Ridge Grapplers...just gotta see how much the bank account can handle). The rims I'm looking at are the Fuel D681 Rebel, but I'm not sure as to what I need to get for the offset measurement (I've found it offered at -12mm offset and a +1mm offset). What exactly, or I should say how will this make the wheel fit on my truck. Oh, and a RC 2.5" level on the front. Any help in understanding this would be greatly appreciated.

I just don't want a noisy tire or a lot heavier tire than the stock Hancock's. I won't be going off road that often but want to do more and more in the future.
