Drove A Tesla Today

I'm the opposite now. I've been driving a truck for 42 years and while I love my Ranger I want something more comfortable now. My last new car was my 1985 Monte Carlo SS. lol Then I had my Vette for about 2 years in 2002-2004. I'm keeping my eye out and will find something to play around with whether an older pickup or a Bronco.

Of course Chris @Chris M (being the friend he is ) texted me this Bronco while we were out at lunch. He's really helping me spend my money. lol

I haven't even joined over there and not sure I'm going to. I've lurked and read up a lot since last summer and all this week and while it's a nice forum it's definitely not a fun one. I doubt they'd appreciate the dampers and Graphene like Ranger owners do.

Big thing is, did you buy the extended warranty or do you trust Toyota quality and engineering more then Ford quality and engineering? I wish the Tacoma could tow a little more, the Tundra is nice but just too big. Haven't seen Toyota deals this good in years.

I didn't buy an extended warranty just yet and I think I'll give it 6-12 months then decide. From what I've read on their forum it's just like Ford where you can purchase it anytime within the 3/36 period. I did find that there's a few dealers who (like Ford) sell for just over invoice so that'll be nice if I decide to purchase one. I'll cancel my Ford ESP on Tuesday and whatever I get back will add it to my MM account towards one. Or more mods. I already have a console tray, wireless charging pad non slip pad and a center console arm rest pad coming in the nest couple days. lol

I looked up the numbers again last night for the Tesla and it was going to be $5,617,00 more before TTL. I can't believe that they'd have given me as good as a trade in either but even if they did, I didn't want to spend that much more especially with the high EV depreciation. I think Toyota has some good deals because they didn't get hit with the tariffs. Their plant is in KY and it's also getting towards the end of the year and the 2027's should be out soon.

I haven't read through this whole thread. How many miles were on your Ranger? I got $31k for my '21 non-Tremor a couple weeks ago from Carvana. They're asking $37k for it! That's only $5k less than I paid new.

I had 27,031 miles on it. Carvana was going to give me $32,600 and Carmax was $32,000. Values differ by region and I'm sure I could've got a little more in a different area but between the trade in and what the took off msrp I was happy. They always like to play with your trade in and vehicle price so I always tell the salesman I don't care how you show the numbers, it's the bottom line that matters to me.

Nice new ride. My buddy from MA just moved to Florida a couple years ago and that was one of the first things he bought. There's a lot of those down here too and that might just be my first EV. lol

Ranger had a whole bed for Annie's "stuff" when you went tripping.....
Where are you gonna put it all now ????? Her "stuff" is probably gonna take up the trunk, frunk, back seat....so where does the luggage go ???? Or are you just going to turn your undies inside out every few days ???
