Years ago out in the rural areas of the county we had a resident who just started keeping chickens. Had them in a minibarn with no doors, no fencing etc. They where running all over the neighbors properties tearing stuff up etc. We had been there many times asking them to put some chicken wire up. I finally told them that if we had another call about the chickens they would get cited for livestock running at large.
Next day I am working and the call comes in about the chickens, this time a Red rooster raising heck and being noisy crowing non stop so I drove past the house and it was standing in the westbound lane and I was eastbound, I had to go around a curve before I could turn around. Well a passing teenager in a hot rod blasted past me eastbound. I turned around to stop him (he's gone) and the roadway looked like someone blew up a feathered pillow ?. There wasn't enough left of that bird to scrape off the road. Darwin theory, alive and well.
