Actually in shock this worked....
History - had a small hole in my rear tail light LED (have a 2021 Ford Ranger XLT Sport with BLIS)... condensation and water got into the taillight, creating a host of errors including "Blind Spot Failure" and "Cross Traffic Failure" as well as some weird shut down of my center console with airbag warning after the BLIS errors popped up (super weird)...
ANYWAY, after pricing out new taillights - $400-$800 each and throwing up in my mouth I tried a couple of things...
Pulled the light assembly out - took 2 seconds - disconnected pigtail and noticed it was COVERED in water... dripping from both male and female connectors. Drained light with tiny drilled hole on the bottom dried the light assembly and the pigtail connector(s) the best I could for several hours (with little blower heater and air dry) - No avail
Tried the drying approach a couple of times nothing...
Buddy of mine suggested spraying WD40 (understanding dust and crap sticks to it which sucks but...) into the male and female connectors and let it sit and reconnect... can't believe this.. it actually worked! Sure it is just temporary but it has been a week now. Assuming PB Blaster, WD40 etc., will do the trick... used some gorilla glue to fill in the whole and seems to be great.
No way affiliated with those spray companies just not wanting to spend so much on a damn light... hopefully this helps a couple of other folks that have had the same issue.
