The one thing that sticks out for me is the color of the water - the blue is incredibly vivid. Once you see it, you understand. I heard for years about the "Crater Lake Blue" and once we visited, I understood what people meant. Kind of like when people talked about the "Green of Ireland".Maybe one day husband & me can head that direction. It’s absolutely beautiful.?
One thing on my bucket list is to stay at the Lodge at Crater Lake - and the one on Timberline (Mt Hood) too.
