Coolant expansion tank cap stuck

Have any others had an issue with removing their coolant expansion tank cap? Mine seems very tight and won't twist off. First time that has ever happened. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, they can be a pain - There is a O-Ring on the cap that sweals from heat expansion, and they dry out - It is common for all reservoir caps.

Best is to pull up, while twisting, because the O-Ring is holding the cap down while you twist and not allowing the cap threads to release upwards.
I normally replace the cap when they hit this point unless you are lucky enough to find the replacement O-Ring (exact part number) but the caps are fairly cheap in price anyways
