Camshaft locator

I bought a new 4.0 engine and a new camshaft locator for my 1999 Ranger XLT. I am unsure of the degrees of offset when I install I drop the locator into the block.

This forum is mainly for the new 5th Gen Ranger (2019-20), but someone may chime in with an answer. You could also check therangerstation.com forum....they have a 4.0 specific section which will probably get you an answer quicker Good Luck on the 4.0 build !

You are in for a headache if you dont have the little plastic piece that keeps it in place while putting the synchronizer in the block. I attempted this on my 2000 4.0. This video is helpful.
