Big Premium for New Mavericks (If you can find one)

Transmission burned up in my 2020 Hyundai Kona commuter, so I'm looking for a new ride. I really like the car/truck feel of the Maverick and the only other competitor in that market.....the Hyundai Santa Cruz. Sadly there really isn't any competition between the 2 because you can't find a Maverick.....anywhere. The other catch is....I talked to a Ford dealer yesterday that told me he MIGHT be getting one next month but it will have a $5K premium above the sticker! As bad as Ford screwed up the order system for Mavericks this year I'm surprised they allow the dealers to jack up prices like that......At this point I'm not much of a Ford Corporate Fan......

I drove several of the Santa Cruz and Maverick when I was considering one and I far preferred the Maverick.

The Santa Cruz has some neat features but it just didn't wow me at all.

Then again, a Santa Cruz you can actually find probably drives better than a non-existent Maverick.

Since your Hyundai is a 2020, it is still under warranty, right?
