MSRP is in the $2200-$2500+ range depending on options. Mine was closer to $2500, and I'm getting it for under 1800.

I went to the LEER dealer and was told 6 months. Leer Chevy colorado shells are 1300. A,R.E has always been pricey are they worth it?

I've beat the crap out of 2 AREs on 2 different Super Duties, my brother has beat the crap out of his MX on his Tacoma rock crawler. That's why I'm buying another ARE.
I know a few folks that have had some issues ( leaks, cracks) on Leer, and around here, they're even more expensive than ARE.

I had a Raider (bought out by Leer I think) on my F 250 and it cracked, door hinge broke, and the clear coat came off. So, I am looking for a little better this time.
Anybody have any experience with SNUG top?

V series is in production for super crew. You can order it now. CX is coming within a week or two. Confirmed this with A.R.E. I had a CX on my old ranger, it’s not clear to me the price diff between V and CX is worth it this time around. I like the looks of the Z series but I want fold out windows, which aren’t an option.
What is the differance between the CX and the V. The pictures on their website make them look almost identical.

CX is an older design with a recess that the windows are cut into. V has the windows cut right into the sides with no indentation. To me, the V has a slightly cleaner look. I don't like the way the windows don't quite seem to match up with the recess - kind of makes it look cheap. My current TW has the same window configuration as the V.

Watched a lot of u tube videos on the differences between Leer, ARE and Snugtop. Still not convinced but they showed trouble spots to look at. Prices are subject to dealer. A lot of hand work to make one so fit and finish is different for every cap. You might want to look it over before installing on your truck. I noticed that our Rangers front bed is not level with sides so I dont know how they fix that. It seems like Ford should have put the same plastic on the front of the bed as they put on the sides and rear.

Ford makes a dollar more profit on each Ranger by not doing that.

All the Ford pickup beds are like that, & have been for years. The installer just doubles up the foam tape across the front to make up for the difference.

It is over an inch, Another layer of tape is not going to do it.

It's just about an inch. They make different foam tape thicknesses, believe it or not. I'm not too worried about my topper shop being able to deal with it. It's possible that the topper, or cap, manufacturer, may have also addressed it. I'll know in the next week or 2.

So, no need to worry about the height difference between the bed rails and the front of the bed when you buy an ARE topper. They designed the step into the topper rail.

IM interested as well in a topper. One question I have is how much of the cost would be painting Platinum White to match the truck. What kind of discounts can one expect on these

The only dealer here sells Leer though.
