I work
All,
I installed a Garmin 67W DashCam in my 2020 XLT Ranger.
( <9000 miles. Original OEM Battery. I drive approx. 10 miles a day. )
I used the Garmin OBD-II Constant Power Cable. Made it really easy.
If I choose a setting for Dashcam operation after I turn the truck off, within 10 minutes I get a message from my FordPass - To conserve battery life, Sync3 disables some of the features on my system. Please see below.
I am having no other electrical issues. Truck always starts easy.

I'm guessing I need to get my battery tested? But I have a hard time believing this little camera should draw enough power to stress my battery in a 10-20 minutes?
Anyone have any thoughts on path forward and connection set-up?

It does sound more like a battery problem than the dash camera. I have a similar setup with my Thinkware U1000 dash cam powered by an OBD cable and have used this for about 18 months with no FordPass notifications. I also have a radar module which puts the camera to sleep after 5 minutes (parking mode and still records if there's an impact) but there's still some light draw from this. I've forgot to pull the OBD cable out a few times when it's just been sitting in the garage, sometimes for 2-3 days and even then I haven't received this message.

I don't drive a lot either so I always hook mine up to a battery maintainer because the battery will never get fully charged driving a few miles every day. There's a more detailed post on this here.

My Ford/Thinkware setup shuts off automatically after Lariat has powered off for one minute, by default.

There are optional settings and an optional aux battery - my setup is strictly 'factory default'.

Smart Charger is the correct way to go, as stated above. NEVER replace your battery until it has failed a 'load test' after a full charge, no matter what anyone tells you.

I own a 1200a load tester, more than enough capacity for our AGM batteries.

I had two batteries go bad in the early days of my Ranger ownership. I started unplugging my Garmin dash cam from the USB when I parked and it never happened again.
