Trail Guide
Not sure it would be a good idea since the US has ceded the border to the cartels. You would run into many caravans along that route, and more as you get closer to Yuma, with variety of welcomes.
Looks like fun if you have enough ammo and a wingman or two. Let me know if plan a trip.

Epic Family Road Trip posted a series about the trail from January, when they did it. Looked like a lot of fun and a cool experience. Definitely added to my list of trails I'd like to hit.
