Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone else has been following or was interested in the Grenadier (https://ineosgrenadier.com/en/us/). I've been following its development off and on for a few years now since initially I think the founder of the company said he wanted to remake the defender. It seems they are working and sourcing from BMW for the engine with a straight 6, and a lot of the other components are from well established companies. Looks like the indicative pricing starts (UK at least for now) at £48,000. It looks like as of today that is around $63k. Obviously if they are including the UK taxes then its most likely going to be less than that for those of us in North America at least. For me it looks to be nearly the perfect vehicle, great utility plus a little bit of comfort and luxury, such as LEDS standard and heated seats. Full time 4wd with center locking diff + optional front and rear lockers. Solid axles front and rear as well. Best part? It comes in GREEN!! To me, it seems a bit expensive, but if its well built I believe it is worth it, maybe one of those vehicles you drive for 15+ years? Seems to be exactly what I am looking for, as no other automotive company has anything like this, it seems they are all pushing towards luxury suvs more than utility suvs. As a side note, they do actually make a 2 seat version, but will not be imported because of the chicken tax. Just wanted to know what you all think about it or if you have been following along with it's development?

Looks cool and capable but yeah, that price is for folks with deeper pockets than I have.

No argument there at all. Really hoping they bring down the price.
I'm going to assume for us it will always be this expensive and always going up. Not only is it a specialty vehicle by a smaller company, we have to pay those import costs too. But like you said, it would be worse if it were pickup version. I'll just always have to live vicariously.
