Adjusting Volume on Text Notifications

Any idea how to adjust the volume on text notifications?? I know I can adjust volume on phone when in use, etc but I can not find anything on how to lower the volume on the text notification.

Send yourself a message, and while the tone plays, turn down the volume.

 

[FULLSCALE]

I’m pretty sure it’s the same as what you do with the phone, just turn it down while it’s reading the message.
