Started at 8am finished at 3pm.
Only had the truck three weeks and this is the first nice weekend day I've had free so decided the new trunk needed some protection.
Washed it with Dawn to remove anything and everything the dealer may have put on it.
Pulled it into my heated garage as it was cold this morning, and blew off all the water with the air hose (garage plumbed with air from my 60 gallon compressor).
3M clay bar and Dodo Juice lube for a couple little spots that there were bugs/stuff on the paint mainly hood and bumper.
Rewashed it with Dawn again.
Wiped down every inch of the trunk with Dodo Juice cleaning detailer spray.
Waxed it by hand (finger applied) with Dodo Juice Orange Crush wax to every single surface that was painted, bumpers, grilles, wheels everything Including jambs, under hood edges, inside of door edges everything.
Washed it again with car wash soap that doesn't remove wax, and blew it off again.
Applied Armorall to every plastic/rubber surface that's not painted.
Cleaned all glass with Stonard Invisible Glass.
Applied Rain-X to exterior glass, and Rain-X anti-fog to the inside.
Tire Shined the tires.
Pulled it outside and wiped every painted surface down with Dodo Juice protective detailer.
Today was also the first time I've seen the trunk in direct sunlight and this color (Cyber Orange) in direct sunlight is the yellowest yellow, all the pics below were in direct sunlight and in person it's yellow, in the pics it's orange, it's pretty cool but weird at the same time.
