Outside of North America 6 speed manual transmission problem

I have a 2015 Ford Ranger TD5 6 speed manual. While driving, the transmission gear shifter moved like it was in neutral, and I no longer had 1st, second gear, and reverse. Any clue what it might be? I managed to limp home with just 3rd and 4th gear. Trying to figure out what might be the problem?

We don't have manual transmission Rangers here in North America, but usually jumping out of gear and/or difficulty engaging lower gears could be a worn pilot bearing.
