Guys, I been looking different threads on the forum so far you guys seems the ones who know better about level, lifting and tires. This is my first truck, I have a Ford Ranger XLT 2WD sport version, after almost a year I pulled the trigger and I’m ready to put nice tires on it.

However I’m not sure which kit I should use, I’m debating between Pro Comp 2.25” level kit with the modified crash bars or the 3” Robby’s kit, also I’ll get the 16 mm offset for the wheels. I’m trying to avoid cutting the crash, what is your recommendation? Should I go straight with the 3” or the pro comp should work? Btw my tires are 285/70/17

Thanks in advance! You all have an amazing trucks look so bad ass ??

Go with Robbys 3 inch level lift kit. if you say your going with 285 70 17. I put that in my truck i it clears without any rubbing
I used 285 70 17 tires on a positive 12 offset wheels

Just a quick question and just to confirm, you had no issues with rubbering or cutting crash bars correct? I’m about to order Robby’s kit and I had second thoughts...

thanks in advance.

That's also not a US Ranger. Not sure if ROW Rangers have crash bars to contend with.

Thinking about ordering for my birthday coming next month. General consensus looks to be that these are better for the vehicle/ joints/wheels than say rough country standard spacers? If so might have to spend the extra 75

Guys,

I just installed my 3” level kit from @Fordrangerlifts.com and it looks great! The front is 37” and the back 38” you barely noticed if you look in detail. My only concern is the tires, right now I have the stock (255/70/17) and with this new kit, it looks in angle. However tomorrow morning I have an appointment to install the new BF Goodrich KO2 285/70/17 so excited about that. According to my mechanic with these new tires and the alignment, that angle looking should be fixed. I will post the pictures with the new tires tomorrow so stay tuned.

One more time thanks @Robby887 for your patience and guidance you rock man! ??

It looks like you still have a significant rake. I know you said with bigger tires it "should" take care of that appearance but my question is I thought the 3" lift removed ALL rake. Am I missing something?
