Hi all,
I am a new member with a 2020 ranger xl. I have installed the ford brake controller consisting of the Redark tow pro elite, the lumen module and the wiring harness. I also used the Curt universal wiring harness from etrailer to provide the 7 pin trailer connector and hot feed from battery to energize the controller (my truck did not have a tow package)The frame mounted receiver was installed by the dealer.
My only issue is the bed light doesn't come on. It did work at first but now doesn't. I did have trouble inserting the metal pins into the plastic connectors and wasn't all that confident I had them inserted properly. The CHMSL does work.
I'm thinking about taking the jumper connectors apart again and checking to see if something came loose, which is a project because I wrapped them up with foam tape.
Has anyone been through this installation?
