Frustrated First timer here. Purchased the truck new in 2020. Has about 96k on it. Truck has been great. Had a carrier bearing go bad at around 40k, and after some complaining ford did the right thing and replaced it for very little cost. The only other issue seems to live in the 8” touchscreen. It has been glitchy from time to time. Goes black, then comes back on and all has seemed fine. In the last week or two the screen pulled its crap while on a business trip. Screen came back on and there was definitely an issue. While using Waze as my GPS, the screen just jumps all over the place. When I tried to make a phone call hands free, the screen was muting me as if someone was hitting the button. It would mute, then 5-10 seconds it would unmute and repeat. I was connected via Apple cable to the usb port. After reading a ton of recommendations, I ran through all the troubleshooting stuff. Disconnected the phone, soft reset, master reset, forgot my home internet connection and reinstalled. Lastly took the negative cable off the battery for 20 minutes. Nothing has worked. Anyone had the ghost touch and is there anything I haven’t tried that y’all have had any luck with?

Try resetting the network settings in your phone. That worked for me.

Is your Sync version up to date 3.4 23188? Have you tried a new USB cable to the phone?

Have to pick a new one up today. Nobody around me had actual Apple cables. Gotta run to town today.

Is your phone the new USB-C port? I had all kinds of issues going from the USB-C to the truck’s USB-A hard connection. I ended up buying a wireless adapter off Amazon and it pretty much fixed all my problems.

New cable didn’t fix nor did resetting my phone. No improvements in performance with any of the recommendations. Open to anything else. Touch screen still works when I push it. But also appears to be touching itself. No pun intended.
