I have a 2020 Ranger Lariat 4x4 Crew Cab like yours. I purchase a 2021 Lance Model 1995. It is 24' tip to tail with a GVWR of 6200lbs. The payload cap on my Ranger is just over 1400lb. I use an EAZ Lift R6 Recurve 800 as my WDH and Sway Control. I have my total tongue weight @700lbs ( this...
Hello, I just found this thread - we have purchased the Lance 1995 and was also concerned about the tongue weight that will eventually be exerted on my 2020 Ranger Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew. I have found that Draw-Tite has a hitch for the Ranger that is rated at 1250lbs tongue weight and 7500lbs tow...
Wondering why Ford would use this terminology for frame parts- Tow Module https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/body/other-body-related-parts-rear/kit-frame-rail-replacement-9935757-1
Thanks Phil,
Who would I reach out to at Ford to help me determine if the change in the tow bar is within specs? As I stated in my original post, it appears as if the rear halve of the frame is perhaps different from a Ranger without the tow package(?).
Thanks again for the input.
Bob

I have a 2020 Ranger Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 and have been researching the towing question while we are shopping for a travel trailer. I have found some websites that have calculators on picking a trailer within the weight specs.. 7500 towing cap, 12500 combined, payload 1481 and hitch max of 750...
RangerLover - How does your rig handle in the wind? Looks like you have a WDH. Also, the braking performance....assuming you have a brake controller. I am looking at something similar in size and weight....many seasoned in towing tell me the unit is to big...but I am beginning to doubt the...
I also have a 2020 Lariat (like yours) and was looking at about the same setup that you have. I follow some travel trailer groups and many of them swear by the ProPride WDH (the upgraded Jim Hensley Hitch). It's a bit pricey but it sounds like it enhances the towing experience.
