  1. My battery died?

I upgraded to the bigger, larger capacity battery, 1355852 G H7(94R)AGM $216 @ Costco. The insulator wrap for standard battery wouldn't fit & couldn't find the one for the larger battery, so had to combine 2 to cover it, kind of a PITA.

  5. Resonator Delete

Replaced my exhaust system cat back with a Flowmaster 717909 FlowFX Cat-Back Exhaust System made of 3.00-inch Mandrel-bent system made of 409 Stainless Steel Tubing. Deleted muffler and resonator. Had a local shop make delete pipes / inserts of 3.00-inch 409 Stainless Steel Tubing. Then...
  6. resonator

In box, #9 & #10 are clamps, between those is a flex section of the exhaust pipe. these are "down wind" of the downpipe / catalytic converter. I like the catalytic converter is in the down pipe as mangey a-hole thieves cannot easily cut is out to steal .
  7. A/C Condensate Drain Cleaning

Made a step by step pic of your process for dummies like me who can't follow words too well.
  8. PPE standard or deep

True, the filter will be farther from the bottom of the pan, so might not get as much goop from pan bottom. Standard pan vs deep pan does not change fluid level with respect to filter or fluid intake port, just adds more fluid capacity below those items. (1st Pic) Missing any same amount of...
  9. PPE standard or deep

deeper pan? still add fluid to "full" level as measured by stock Ford micro fluid level indicator or a dipstick. In either case, the fluid comes up as hi as needed to cover sump intake. Deeper pan does not lead to fluid levels being lower relative to sump intake or dipstick.
  10. PPE standard or deep

I installed the PPE Power 328053620 Deep Transmission Pan. I chose the deep pan as it provides increased volume of trans fluid (dilutes contaminants between fluid changes) , and greater surface area for cooling. My truck is lifted about 3.5", so, no worry about it getting dented when climbing...

I put the ARB / OME EL121R which lifts the rear by by 1.5" and adds 600 pounds capacity. Better ride than the stock springs. Have the BDS 3.5 " front lift (replaced the BDS coilovers with Icon Vehicle Dynamics Extended Travel 2.5 V.S. IR Coilover Shock Kit 91255). OME's gave the truck a tiny...
  13. Tire Pressure for Heavier Load Range Tires

I actually run hier load range E tires (ATTUROTRAIL BLADE X/T) @ lower pressure (26psi) than door plaque indicates (39psi?). For towing 3K pound trailer, I run @ 35psi. I feel the tires and they are not hot. No apparent heat buildup from running @ lower pressure. They are stiffer than...

  17. $189 Transmission Flush + Filter. ....for real?

It'd be way cheaper if Ford had put a drainhole in the pan.
  18. Are running boards on a Ranger like lipstick on a pig?

Happy w/ the stock running boards on my 3" lifted Fx4 with 12x35-17 tires. Perfect for getting into / out of the truck. Help protect the body under the doors from brush / rock damage. Yes I know they are not frame mounted, but they have yet to bend, dent, or break under pressure.
  19. Tire Pressure for Heavier Load Range Tires

Unloaded, I run my ATTUROTRAIL BLADE X/T 35 X12.50R17 Load range E tires @ 25 PSI. They are very stiff and do not get hot in 115+degree Tucson AZ temps. Comfy. Loaded and pulling trailer I increase pressure to 38 PSI, still little to no bulge and run plenty cool. On super slow bumpy...
