I installed a fuel pump cutoff switch on one of my cars back in the 90's. Impossible to start without fuel. Not sure how the electronics nowadays would react.
But, its only as good as the operator, need to switch it off to be effective, like locking doors and taking keys...
So, we need the government to tell us that running gas stoves, (like me) and non vented gas heaters is bad??? Pretty sure manufacturers already warned us on Owners Manual.
Here, in VT, they actually are encouraging us to burn wood and gas. Pushing heat pumps as well, I'm already on that ride...
I got a letter from Equifax years ago, said I didn't have to do anything to be included. Still waiting on my .57 while the lawyers and the original person who started the class action get all the rest. What a scam...
Wow, you are a pinball fanatic. Love the "gumballs"...
Sure wish I could afford a reliable machine. Never was one for video games, pinball was my jam...
I can't believe I haven't thought of turning off TC when driving up our dirt road. Wife freaks if I kick out the ass end, but that's nothing compared to when it kicks out and TC kicks in...
I do use 2wd with locker on in the snow, coming up the hill on the way home. I find the locker works...
My Pop was happy with the care from the VA as well. Never once did I hear him complain about the 6 month wait for Dr. visits.
Me, it would burn me that a veteran had to wait, while our guests crossing the border, once legal, didn't have to. Not my perception, but out of the mouth of a traveling...
My father just passed, 12-21-22...
I am executor and am dealing with the VA portion. OK< I get long hold times, only 1 call out of 8 have been less than 56 minute wait. Everyone was nice and accomidating. My first call to the Death Benefits division went smoothly, until it was time to email me...
I'm not one for loud vehichles. The closest I had was a 73 Bronco, 302, 90 over with headers. And that wasn't loud, just sounded nice. Subjective I know...
I don't like motorcycles that rattle my windows as they drive by, never liked ricer sounds, and wanna be's are the worst.
I did have a...

My bad, I read hasn't, not the hadn't, you wrote referencing Phil.
My days of trusting the media started waining fast after Walter Cronkite retired. I do have 10+ years experience repairing/rebuilding engines for a GM dealer in the 80's. Whole nother animal. But, back then you had to warm up...
Well, kind of extreme don't you think? Me warming my truck for only 30 seconds or so has NOTHING to do with was just trying to do their part to limit emissions and feel good about themselves.
Just because someone doesn't follow your way of thinking doesn't mean they are wrong, nor warants a...
One thing I never understood was "higher resle value". If both vehicles were equipt the same, and sold at same price, then it would make sense. But equipt the same, and Toyota sells for lets say $7k more, I'd expect it to have a higher resale vaule. But why would I want to pay more now, to maybe...
I was also a huge PIA to Hyundai. It was stated on their website that Hyundai would supply a loaner or rental. They did neither, telling me it was a misprint. I was in dealership when I made that call. I was angry, but kept cool in front of salestaff and customers. eventually, I was told they...
Maybe someone can create a wear graph, showing wear percentages of internal parts at various temps, loads, warm up time etc.
Since fuel injection, I warm for 30 secs or so and go. I have heat within a mile or so...
