  1. XLT to Lariat Headlamp Upgrade

Hey Gary, Sorry for the late reply. Those are the only three things that I changed and as far as I understand what others did as well. Everything else just leave the same! Like you said, the 0, 1, or 2 value basically refers to what came stock on your truck, so that's why it needs to be...
  2. XLT to Lariat Headlamp Upgrade

This video is what I used to get started with registering FORscan and how to connect to the vehicle and everything Getting Started with FORscan Here's the adapter that I bought to connect to the truck. Here's the link for ELM327 Drivers that you'll need to install on your computer in order to...
  3. XLT to Lariat Headlamp Upgrade

Hey Gary, did you get the help you need here? I've just completed the FORscan mods and I can give you some videos and pointers from what I learned from Carl.
  4. XLT to Lariat Headlamp Upgrade

This should work on your XL no problem. The connector is the same across all trim levels. Just got this done today and I will reiterate what was said above that the outer two bolts on the valence are a pain in the ass to get off! I didn't take off the skid plate, but had to take off the small...
  5. New 2.5” Fox shocks

Nice! I only wish the springs came in orange like Fox does with their mountain bike shocks. That would be a sweet accent especially with the magnetic color of the truck.
  6. New 2.5” Fox shocks

Woah that build looks awesome!! What do you have the lift set at? I'm having a blast on the 2.0s, I can't imagine how these feel!
  7. Ford Fox 2.0 installed today.

Do it! I got a chance to take the stage 3 kit out this past weekend and it was awesome!! Really stable, supportive, and forgiving. I did hit one rut a little hard but even that didn't feel too bad. Much better than the OEM. The shocks are very well damped. I installed them with the help of a friend.
  8. Dynographs for the 2.3L EcoBoost Ranger - Dyno Compilation

I read through the thread that you linked and it looks like you've got great reviews and many awesome benefits to your tune! It's definitely got me thinking! After reading a bit more, I would probably still want to run 87 since it's the cheapest by a long shot where I live, but being able to...
  9. Dynographs for the 2.3L EcoBoost Ranger - Dyno Compilation

Thanks for the link! I've started to read through that thread as well! Some people in the thread said it could take a few weeks (or tanks) for the engine to adjust to higher octane - is this true? Also, would you expect to see a huge jump in performance/response between 87 and 89? Or is it more...
  10. Question on Fox 2.0 Rear Shock Orientation

Thanks for the replies everyone. I ended up installing mine shaft down, body up as well. Really stoked to get out on the trail!
  11. MAGNETIC Ranger Club Thread

With the 2.0 Fox kit. 17" Sport package wheels with the Dynapro ATM 265/65/17 tires. Next upgrades will maybe be a Magnaflow exhaust and some Lariat headlight assemblies off Ebay!
  12. Question on Fox 2.0 Rear Shock Orientation

The OEM FX4 shocks have clear indications on orientation with the stickers that have an arrow that points towards the frame side. The Fox 2.0 shocks do not. My friend says it shouldn't matter which way the shocks are installed in truck; the shaft can point up or down on either side. The Fox...
  13. Dynographs for the 2.3L EcoBoost Ranger - Dyno Compilation

Thanks for the clarification. Sounds like I could switch back and forth and the engine should pick up on the fuel quality pretty quickly and tune accordingly. I am going to try 91 as I'm curious about the power difference and whether it yields better mpg/range as well. Right now I'm getting 20...
  14. Dynographs for the 2.3L EcoBoost Ranger - Dyno Compilation

How might the engine react if you switch back and forth between different fuels depending on what you're doing? Say for commuting you run a lower octane fuel but when you want to do a weekend trip or want more power adventuring you switch to 91 occasionally?
  15. XLT to Lariat Headlamp Upgrade

Thanks for the clarification! I can see some pretty good deals out there right now for lights with chipped tabs, nice to know that these still fit OK. I'm sure there are clever solutions if needed as well. What was the vendor you got yours from?
  16. XLT to Lariat Headlamp Upgrade

Wow $800 for the pair is a great deal! Any tips on searching/finding them? So far my searches have yielded very few pairs, and some with damaged tabs, etc... Edit: I also found these while searching Ebay...does anybody have any experience with this brand/vendor...
  17. What is the expected price to install coilovers?

All the shops in my area are asking for at least $1900 installed. I got the kit off Stage 3 and am buying the hardware that's included in the Ford Performance kit so that I don't have to re-use, and a friend who is very familiar with building trophy trucks will help me install. Regarding the...
  18. 4x4 or FX4

There's also the FX2 option now, where you get the locking differential and the added bells and whistles of the FX4 (skid plates, etc...) but only RWD. I saw a few of those at the dealership!
  19. Ranger with mods at dealership

Thanks! I checked the KBB value for the same model used at a dealer and it says the fair purchase price is 29k. I'll have to get a breakdown list of everything they installed and how much it cost when I talk to them. It is a buyers market...but my F150 probably needs some repairs (I won't tell...
  20. Ranger with mods at dealership

Thanks for the advice. Blue book is saying 37.5k MSRP for a 2019 XLT SuperCrew FX4, with the fair market range at 33.5 - 36k. Does that sound about right? Where do you believe there's more savings to be had (more like the 8 - 10k range)? I don't remember the original sticker (it was night...
