I initially used the dome light wire for my bed lights. It's the light gray wire with the purple stripe on the connector in the driver's side panel. I ended up moving my bed lights source to the cargo lamp power. But for side step lights, this is the source you need.
FYI - Use the white wire with the dark green strip in the wiring bundle under the door sill paneling on the driver's side (back seat door). That is the wire tied to the cargo lamp. So you can use the cargo lamp switch to activate the lights when you want. Bed lights will go out at 3mph or...
Everything is based on resistance. Wind direction, hills, etc. I don't think the Tonneau cover makes much (if any) of a difference since it is not in direct line of the air the truck is pushing through. The tailgate up or down has been discussed for years with no clear determination as to...
Added the tailgate damper that arrived today. A 5 minute install. Will also get the fender vents painted to match the lightning blue body color and then install those. ?
When I hauled just the one kayak in the bed, I used to just put the rods on the front passenger side and let the rods rest on each side of the front passenger headrest. Then use a small bungee cord with hooks to keep them from falling off the seat. Got tied of hearing the hard lures with...
It's all about driving technique, topography (how much you drive uphill) and speed. I have over 21,000 miles now. Averaged 24.6 mpg the first 20,000 miles. Reset my Trip #2 to evaluate the next 20K run. Getting 26.5 mpg so far. I have tweaked the computer down to where it matches my manual...
It takes about 10 minutes for the cargo lamp and anything wired to it to turn off. Or 3 mph in drive. I moved my bed lights from the dome light wire to the cargo light wire and tested it.
Over 20K miles on my Ranger. It's never had a regular wash. Use DualPolymer waterless wash and other DualPolymer products only. Zero scratches, paint swirls or water spots. Love their products.

I just ordered some paint pens from here. They also sell the regular touch up bottles like the dealer has. I wanted to try the pens since they are better suited for small chips. Got a clear coat pen as well.

I like a clean vehicle, but that's not stopping me from using it. I started out as a teenager detailing vehicles for a car dealer. Steam clean engines, re-dye carpet, buff paint, etc. So it's always been in my blood. But I fish in the Gulf every weekend in a kayak. Getting to the launch...
We have 5 Maine Coons that we show in CFA cat shows. We also have 2 rescues. So 7 indoor only cats. Wife converted me from dogs way back in 1983...lol! A Maine Coon is like a dog in cat's clothing.
I have 2 USB sticks in my Ranger. One is a Sandisk 128GB with just albums on it. About 10,000 songs. The other is a 64GB stick (can't remember the brand) with just singles on it. They are labeled Albums and Singles so I know which is which on the source screen.. No issues at all.
I actually hit 30 mpg on my Ranger early on. But I wanted it to be closer to my manual calculations. So I adjusted the computer settings. Now my mileage is pretty much spot on. You can read all the different settings that folks say they adjusted the computer to, but it boils down to your...
I have just over 14K miles and have adjusted the settings of the mileage computer to get my manual checks a little closer what the truck says. Pretty much got it the same now. My mpg from day one is now averaging 24.5 mpg. That's all driving/towing combined. The tank this morning was a shade...
