UPDATE - The problem is fixed. See my post below.
I have an Icom ID-5100 installed in my 2019 Ranger XLT. It has worked flawlessly for years. Recently when I transmit on 2m the truck sends several warnings, including that hill climb, traction control, anti-sway, etc are all disabled and that...
Occasionally, but not always, I will get error messages on my 2019 Ranger XLT telling me that the stability control, hill assist, cruise control and other driver assists have cancelled. This happens only when towing my travel trailer with the 7-pin connector plugged in. Unplugging the trailer...
I tow a travel trailer that has two conventional automotive type batteries. I am changing them to lithium ion phosphate batteries. These batteries require a higher voltage (14.4 v) to fully charge as compared to conventional (lead acid) batteries. I'm trying to determine if the stock charging...
I just got Forscan 2.3.43. I've got it hooked up and working. Before making any modifications I want to save the modules I want to work on. However, I cannot find the "save" function. I've clicked on the modification icon, run the module I want to work on but there are only two options...
There are several articles online about building a device to monitor and display vehicle functions using a Raspberry Pi. These "computers" are attached to the OBDII port and can display a number of parameters, including boost, engine temperature, charge, etc. I'm interested in building one and...
I have a 2019 XLT pulling a Rockwood 2014s Mini Lite trailer that is 8 feet wide and 22 feet long. The manual says the sensors will work with a trailer up to 8.2 feet wide and 33 feet long. I have adjusted the settings in the truck for the trailer's width and length. It appears that the...
So I bought an inexpensive (cheap) set up trailer mirrors for the Ranger. They clip to the truck’s mirrors and are held on my ratcheting straps. The Ranger’s tapered mirrors, and the poorly designed straps, made it near impossible for the mirrors to stay on. I will be returning them.
Anyone...
Does anyone know about these rear wheel well liners? They appear on the official Ford parts website.

The truck is getting ready for its second Chicago winter...
I have the Ford brake controller, or at least the one that the Ford dealer installed. I'm picking up my trailer tomorrow. Never towed a camper before. Is there an adjustment of the controller and, if so, how do you do it.
Thanks for helping this newbie.
I installed wiring for a ham radio antenna under the left rear door sill, removing the plastic cover plate. When reinstalling the plate I broke off one of the tabs that secures it in place. I want to glue the tab back on but don't know what kind of glue works with the plastic in the Ranger.
I...
I know that many manufacturers are now angling the head rests forward to prevent whiplash. The Ranger's right front seat's head rest is tipped way forward requiring one to lean the seat far back to get comfortable. Anyone figured out how to get the head rest in a more comfortable position or...
Having learned how to have the transmission gears displayed on the dash I've watched as my Ranger accelerates from a stop. Unless I very, very slowly apply gas the truck goes from first to third gear. The engine revs slightly more than other shifts as second gear is skipped.
Second gear is...
We're going to the Chicago RV show next month looking to buy a travel trailer to pull behind the Ranger. Looking to stay under 5000 GVWR so we have leeway to haul a bunch of gear. Like something around 18-22'. Any suggestions?
I want to secure a box in the bed to hold my tool boxes. There are two threaded holes in each sidewall just behind the wheel well that I could use an anchor points. I had a bed liner sprayed in and, of course, they got the material in the holes. I have to run a thread chaser through them but...
I've installed my ham radio in my new 2019 Ranger. I've done dozens of installs. The + and - leads are wired directly to the battery and both are fused at the battery. My radio has an accurate digital volt meter in it and, with the truck running at 2000 rpm it shows 12.8 - 13.4 volts maximum...
