Yeah. I’m an expat Aussie. I was always jealous that they got Ranger and we didn’t. They have so many more variations and options too. But the Ranger is top of pile for Ford trucks there. Where is we have the F-150.
Toyota dealers wanted $15k over msrp and I couldn’t special order a model I wanted. I was on the fence between Taco and Ranger after realizing that my Maverick order was never coming. Glad I got exactly what I wanted with the Ranger.
After the discount on Ford Accessories, price was not that bad. I installed myself and it is actually really good quality. And the Ford logo is kind of nice to have.
How about you can order the truck the way you want it instead of trying to find a build that is close to yours.
Also, Toyota dealers just plain treat you like crap unless you are willing to pay massive over MSRP for them. It’s a Taco, not a limited edition Supra!!!
I had a Maverick Lariat on order from December. It was evident that it was not coming this year. I still have the order in place for whenever they actually manufacture it. I got my Ranger for MSRP. No way I would ever pay over msrp for a Maverick!
It seems not all dealers participate with Ford Accessories. Instead of Ford Miles, I used the 20% discount and saved my miles for my first service. If you want the install, I don’t know if the dealer will give you the $50 fee as noted on Ford Accessories site.
I ordered a Maverick. It was an Eco Lariat FX4. At the time I just wanted a small truck to do jobs around the home, while having it been able to handle snow. The 12 month wait for delivery was too much. That’s why I went for the Ranger. Also living in a major city, having a big truck is not...
Just a bit. Mine is tightish too, but I like it that way as the cover doesn’t flap around while driving. When I first installed it, I didn’t have the right rail sitting correctly on the bed rail. But after I adjusted that, it has been working well. I think you just need to fine tune it through...
I have this cover. It has kept out the water and dirt. I actually really like this cover. It was relatively easy to install and really like the Ford logo on it.
I was looking forever for dividers. I ended up finding a nice piece of 2x10 redwood and had enough to two. Painted them black and they look great. And being redwood, they might outlast the truck!
