  1. Having a hard time ordering 2021

I don't think the 2021MY have started building yet. My dealer only had 1 Ranger in stock in early Nov so you might have better luck at a store with no inventory (and no desire to bring it in !) I'd factory order anyway. So, I'd say a I only wanted a '21 and if pressed give a non starter, like...
  2. Having a hard time ordering 2021

"Endeavor to persevere" :headbang:. But I know ... it sucks when you're ready to go. You're gonna need to find the right person. Maybe do the phone call first, chit chat with reception when they are not busy and ask who might help you with a factory order, or ask the sales mgr and cc them in...
  3. Having a hard time ordering 2021

My father used to sometimes remark, "at the end of the day your on your own". That has been my experience with most new car dealers trying to get info ! My advice, find out as much as you can about what you need to know for your possible purchase without the dealer (options, pkg content...
  4. Coilover spring rate

specs from ford bbas https://fordbbas.com/publications 2019 Ranger spec https://madocumentupload.marketingassociates.com/api/Document/GetFile?v1=5229312&v2=010620101418&v3=60&v4=a4314c2f01d8cf1a23075fe6a3f071f94debbe9ff7c4c82020f48213&v5=False guess you first need to find your front axle...
  5. Europe gets a cab and chassis Ranger

Yep, I've hear that ... Seems like pricing here is mostly unchanged from '20. My numbers, Quoted MRSP $38,308 - '21 XLT Super Crew 4x4 940 - 301A mid (min req for Tremor) 5,250 - Tremor Pkg 600 - TrailerTow Pkg 200 - sliding window 45,290 CAD (~ 34,769 USD per Google today ) vs USDM...
  6. Long range fuel tank

RoadBoss, that's pretty wild ! I don't see myself doing that kind of stuff but I get what you're saying for 'wheelers, specifically about reduced clearance. For what I call 'off highway' that aspect could be less critical. In the superduty we've done some long, remote road trips - I like to...
  7. Europe gets a cab and chassis Ranger

Cool thx, I'll check it out. Yah, 4wd only and no xl for the super crew, only xlt or lariet. We're an upmarket bunch, eh?
  8. Rat caught in cab of truck!

Which is why I'd rather not use poison - it gets into the food chain. Could be a pet picks it up. Or, as happened to me, the neighbour puts out poison because he can't keep his trash secure and I ended up with a stinking corps in my basement ceiling - they sometimes go somewhere else to die. Not...
  9. Europe gets a cab and chassis Ranger

__ and a engine block heater ! and DRL of course, but I think you guys have that now. On Nov 3 my fleet dealer guy said he was thinking Tremor builds start approx April 2021 based on what he was told by "Ford HQ". I think it was always going to be late availability but don't know if it's been...
  10. Long range fuel tank

As a LML guy who remembers >$1.50 / L in 2018 and near than in 2014 I'd say that pricing still looks pretty good  Too bad covid killed road trips for us when it was .99 earlier this year. Diesel is cheaper. We've got an aux tank in the F350. Easy 300 CAD fill - even in Alberta !
  11. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

OK sorry to off topic ... looks like the Raptor rims are 17x8.5 +55 https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1007-RGR1785OR I was sure I'd read and heard the Tremor had new offsets, reinforced by the doc I linked above including the listing of 44mm EDIT 24mm wider track specs (on the Tremor...
  12. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

Well that would make a lot more sense than a new single purpose wheel for NA. Got the spec from here (pg 13. option 64W). It wouldn't be the first error in these type of documents. This one lists a Tremor 4x2 ! Thx...
  13. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

I know what you mean, I have to draw it out with pencil and paper to visualize it. If those Fuel rims are the 17x9 and you look at the +1 offset version. That rim centreline will be 2.63" further out than the oem 17x8 ((oem 55 - 1mm) + (1" rim difference / 2)). The -12 version will be even...
  14. Overlanding setup for the uncivilized/stealth camper

Securing those crates to the rear wall board is a great idea - and you got to use those tee nuts again ! The pic below makes me wistful for simpler times when my wife and I used to sleep in the back of the old truck. Now, I know your set up didn't just happen; you've worked at it and it...
  15. Dumb question time...concerning offsets.

One way of looking at potential differences from your stock set up: If your current tire is 255 wide and you change out tires only to a 265 tire, the tire outer sidewall will be 5mm more outward. If your wheel is oem +55 (inset) and you change out wheels only to a +12 mm wheel, the tire outer...
  16. Long range fuel tank

My perspective, the whole automobile thing is wants. Need a larger tank because of towing ? well who asked you to buy a trailer. Want to drive remote ? well, you could just go to the local campground. Heck, who really needs a Ranger. Etc. Back in college a group of us used to go for beers...
  17. Rat caught in cab of truck!

Could be too. I know in the car I usually try to get my window open a bit before my wife closes her door. Seem to improve her success rate of closing the door fully without invoking the dreaded, second attempt slam.
  18. Rat caught in cab of truck!

Sorry for the late reply. Often the rear wall of pick up cab will have a vent to allow air to escape when closing the doors. They're out of sight and thus out of mind. You could prob see them on the outside between the truck box and outside rear cab. Or from inside should be behind the rear...
  19. Rat caught in cab of truck!

IDK, those buggers can do almost anything ! But yeah, you'll have to go thru the truck. Don't forget the air vents on the rear cab wall. Good luck !
  20. Rat caught in cab of truck!

I really don't like rats, but that guy does take a good picture ?. Had rodents in the camper and under the hood - once a mouse popped out from the windsheild wiper hole while we were driving - but never inside the cab, knock on wood. Wonder if it got in from an open door/window ?
