Those Goose Gear platforms are really nice. Not sure if I can stomach a likely $1k price tag for it though. Your rear seat delete build inspired mine - I went with a much simpler non-storage option though and tried to keep it as low profile as possible for my GSD.
Wheels and tires went on yesterday!
I had to remove all of the crash bars and the 33s fit perfectly, no rubbing. Absolutely loving the fitment. Discount Tire in San Marcos did a great job installing, then North County Wheel and Tire in Escondido did my alignment. Slim at North County Wheel and...
Yep, all of the equipment from my company (ASML) is filling that fab, along with many other new fabs popping up from key manufacturers like Intel and Samsung. This is why I have been saying this semiconductor shortage will be around for at least another year - it takes us just about a year to...
I believe you need to jack the rear of the truck up to get the rear wheels off the ground, then put the truck in neutral. Make sure you chalk the front wheels to prevent it from rolling forward.
Eibach Pro Kit went on the front this weekend. Still waiting for my rears. Battled with it for about 7 hours in the dirt, only for it to have a rattle after. Cooled off for a couple of days and resolved the rattle issue when I realized I forgot to torque the strut shaft nut on top of the spring...
I'm a big bimmer guy, I have owned many and love the way they drive. I sold my single turbo 335i to get my ranger. I miss the way the 335i drives, and of course the power. But they are in different leagues, so try not to compare them apple to apples because at the end of the day its a truck vs a...
No problem, Duke! My shaft spun at first too, but I just went crazy with it and it eventually sucked down enough to tighten up, ha.
Good luck! I think that might be your culprit…crossing my fingers for you.
Mine actually wasn’t making noise when I rocked the truck, but sounded like heavy rattling when I went over any bumps when driving. No noise over progressive dip on smooth pavement.
I would double check the strut nut, I was able to torque mine with a deep well socket.
I also took the advice of...
Yes, that is exactly the one. Not sure if I referred to it by the correct name or not. It felt tight when I assembled the strut on the workbench, but I never torqued it to spec - that is where I went wrong. It was very loose.
Alright y’all, got under the truck again today and re-torqued everything to spec. During my inspection I found that I forgot to torque the strut top nut on both sides!
Torqued both to 41ft-lbs and the rattle is gone!
Super pumped. Now to enjoy some football.
Quick question for our experts...
Yessir, both abs and brake line brackets secure.
Gunna pull the tires and check it out again on Saturday or Sunday. Wrenched for 6 hours today in 100 degree heat so I’m wiped. Lol
Thanks for the response, Trig. I’ll double check the dust shields. I didn’t break any of the connections for the steering knuckles. Just tie rod, UCA, and swaybar at the frame.
I installed my eibach pro leveling coils on the front of my 2019 FX4 Ranger today. After I got it back on the ground, I am getting a rattle over bumps. I thought it was a loose sway bar, but I only unbolted the sway from the underside of the truck, not the end links. I hit the bolts that mount...
I would try and find a new dealer. As shitty of an experience as I have had with the dealer I purchased my truck from, they were able to fix my major issue (posted about in a different thread), and even though they are being idiots in regards to the clunking one, they gave me a rental and made...
