Awesome, thanks so much for the info man! Nice videos!
It looks like most of the snow has turned into slush/mud from the webcams I have been looking at.
Anyone been out and done some 4wheeling in Big Bear recently? I am looking to head up from SD with my wife and pup on Saturday. Looking for an easy-moderate trail to get somewhere more remote away from people to have lunch and let the dog run around off leash.
Can anyone recommend a trail and...
I average 17 and have a heavy foot. I am about 60/40 mix surface street highway driving during my commute.
I took my truck up to Idaho from San Diego this year and saw mid 19 on the highways. I saw you get 21 on your Tremor - that is impressive! I got that stock
I mean you are trying to compare 2 different trucks with 2 different motors and 2 different gearings. Apples to oranges IMO.
For OP - Our trucks are quick from factory but these are not performance cars. I am on 33" KO2s and still dust Tacomas stoplight to stoplight as well as any commuter car...
I plan on having my tune installed by a Ford Dealer or ASE certified mechanic. I will just run the cable myself if I decide to go this route.
But, I don't think I will route the cable and use the ProCal4 since the display/interface for the on-road data stinks.
Yeah this is becoming apparent. I thought the interface on the ProCal4 was much better, but the feedback I have received is that it essentially sucks.
I originally wanted to mount it to have data available without using my phone.
Yikes, that is terrible. So the actual module itself is just a scanning tool with a pre-loaded flash. Once "installed" aka flashed, it seems like most people unplug the OBDII cable and store it away. I could just run the cable and everything on my own and mount it.
Appreciate the insight!
This is my thought too, I don't see it being too difficult. I see a lot of threads of people reporting that the dealer is quoting them $300-$500 to install the tune, so I am wondering if that cable routing and mounting is included, and where it might have been mounted.
I like to see all the...
For those of you running the ford performance tune/module, where do you have the display mounted? Did your installer route the wire for your and make it all tidy? I am hoping to run mine in the far left corner of the dash and use the suction cup on the lower part of the windshield. I am big on...
At $3.5K I think the auto body shop made out with a pretty penny, glad to hear you have good insurance and it was covered. I was in my local Ford dealer picking up my truck from service and someone was getting their taillight replaced that was broken or faulty, and Ford said it was $1,200. Still...
Dang, a lot of here say and "well I know a guy" data in this thread. Not surprised with all of the hate and one sided "data" being shared on a Ford forum though
If you don't like it, don't buy it. Should I direct everyone over to the dealer problem and mechanical problem threads on...
Seems pretty cheap to me. A ceramic coating out here in CA with a good clay and wash before would be in the $700-$1000 range depending on the company and products they are using.
Discount Tire/America's Tire has this exact same warranty but they are called "certificates" or "certifications" for your tire. You also get lifetime rotation and balance for free, not to mention their customer service is usually unmatched.
I love Costco, but I'll never go anywhere else for...
