Hi all,
Super embarrassing, but I was installing my Icon Stage 2 coil overs, and while trying to get a little leverage to move the lower control arm down slightly, my buddy and I seem to have overextended and caused a separation of the outer CV joint on the drivers side.
Ford says that...
285/70/17 (32.7x11.2) seems to be the going max recommended with => 2.5” lift without rubbing. Adding an inch of width (305mm) may be a bit much, even with a 0 offset wheel.
There are some examples of Rangers with tire, lift, and resulting stance and any report of rubbing in this gallery.
@earsmccoy ,
Thanks for the post. Super helpful.
Quick question for you or anyone else who’s purchased and installed this.
I only got a single box (box 1 of 2) with the canister. I assume there’s a second box that contains the rails and hardware?
I’m not seeing any of that in the canister...
Ranger spec’d Icon Six Speeds
And looks like they’re now releasing the Ranger Spec’d Rebounds as well (Not yet listed).
Both have “bro-rivets” (fake bead lockers), so not for everyone. But both are good options for those who want rims with an offset that fills the fender without sticking...
Anybody tried or know of anyone running anything bigger than 33’s (i.e. 285/75/17) with the offset intrusion bars like those by Fabtech or Pro Comp?
Perhaps, with a level or =< 3” lift?
Doh! Haha, yeah, my mistake. I plugged the wrong dimensions (285/75/R18, oops) into the converter.
Yeah, 33's are supposed to work. But as you mentioned, they're kind of tight. I've heard of some rubbing at full lock when loaded and/or when moving in reverse.
The gallery here shows some...
Seems like running 35’s would be a bit much.
Vertically, you might clear the extra ~2” tire between hub and top of fender. But horizontally speaking, you’re stuffing an extra ~4” (over the stock 31’s) between crash bars known only to accommodate up to 33” tires on rims with the proper width...
Wasn’t wanting to do any drilling, but I suppose it’s the nature of a retractable cover as the canister has to drain somewhere.
Thanks for the info!

Looks like your Raptor wheels are finally up on Ford Performance site, Josh! Seems they're quite proud of them, at that price!
