  1. What Is the Name/Nickname of Your Ranger?

I love the thought that was put into that name!!
  2. What Is the Name/Nickname of Your Ranger?

That's pretty much the way I have always referred to my vehicles before naming Tex.
  3. What Is the Name/Nickname of Your Ranger?

Maybe this is just a "girl" thing, but my wife has always named her vehicles through the years. Lucy, for her Buick Lucerne. Ruby, for her red Lincoln MKX. And now Pearl, for her Lincoln Nautilus. My Ranger is the first vehicle that she succeeded in talking me into naming. Well, since it is...
  4. FORScan Crowdsourced Wiki

Oddly enough, the F-150 changes worked perfectly on my wife's 2019 Lincoln Nautilus. It's kind of nice having enough "blinks" to complete the lane change!
  5. FORScan Crowdsourced Wiki

I've looked through most of this forum, and even done a search but found nothing, so here's my dilemma. I would like to increase the number of blinks that the "lane change blinker" cycles on a partial push of the blinker. Factory default is 3, but I would like to change it to 5 or 6 blinks...
  6. SuperCab Rangers are Rare Here, How About Your Location?

Here in West Texas, I have only seen 4 Ranger pickups (counting mine) in the wild, all Super Crew, in a population area of around 250,000 total. This is an area where pickups are king. Every family owns at least one, and sometimes multiple pickups. Ford F-150 is by far the PU of choice over...
  7. Antenna

PLUS, I'm guessing 60% of the stations you CAN get are Spanish language stations if it's anything like it is here in rural Texas!!
  8. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

Amen on the adaptive cruise! That, along with the lane keeping function and the automatic braking makes driving this thing down the interstate almost effortless. It's not quite as decked out as my wife's Lincoln Nautilus, but then I wouldn't expect a Ford truck to be, but it's REAL close!
  9. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

Yes, it's the first vehicle I have owned for myself that has that feature (my wife has had that available in her last 2 vehicles), and let me tell you, as I've gotten older, and my neck and spine have gotten stiffer, I can definitely appreciate the blind spot sensors more than I would have in my...
  10. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

I can get into my garage just fine, but would like to have them fold in when I lock and park it in a parking lot at a store or airport, where the spaces are much too small. AND AMEN on manually disabling the auto start/stop. That is an extremely annoying function that in my opinion is totally...
  11. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

I definitely agree with you on both of these points, but I do have my trial SiriusXM activated, however I know that I will let it expire in August. If I want to listen to that, I can get it on my phone and stream it through Sync3/Android Auto in my Ranger since my wife's car has a paid...
  12. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

I suppose in New Hampshire that is very feasible, however, here in the desert of the West Texas oil fields, we can go from having a late winter snowfall to melting the snow in 85 degree heat the very next day. We don't have many of those "not quite AC weather" days.
  13. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

You can forget that fear of missing out, because after having one, I can agree that if I ever have my back window broken out while parked at a baseball game, I will go back with a regular plain back window!
  14. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

THANKS for giving me a sensible use for that little back window! I don't have to haul PVC very often, but when I do, I'll remember that option.
  15. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

I always back into my garage on the left side, and my wife pulls in front first on the right side. That way, both of our driver doors open to the middle. That allows me to park much closer on my passenger side, which allows more room for us to exit our vehicles in the middle of the garage. I...
  16. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

Since I don't have any small children in my home or vehicle, I have never even used the rear side window deactivation button. I'll have to check that out too!
  17. Two Totally Useless Features As They Came From the Factory

Let me start out by saying I absolutely LOVE my Ranger Lariat! I won’t discuss here the things I wish it had that were not available on even the top of the line Ranger. HOWEVER, there are two features it DOES have that are pretty much useless as they came out from the factory. The Fold-in...
  18. I think I bought the wrong truck

I just passed down my 2007 Sport Trac Limited I'd been driving for 13 years to my 17 year old granddaughter. I held out for years hoping Ford would bring back the Sport Trac, but finally gave up and bought myself a new Ranger Lariat. After driving a 6 cylinder all these years I was...
