  1. Android auto stopped working

second this. my cable will charge the phone, but doesn't work for AA, my personal favorite is the cable that works with AA but only while charging the phone once the phone is at 100% it randomly starts cutting out. I keep a spare cable now so i can swap between them and that seems to help.
  2. Tow longevity

that is also why you need trailer brakes to tow that 7500 pounds surge or electric, without trailer brakes it is a lot less rating.
  3. Clear view mirrors

It might be feasible to spend a bit extra in cash this spring, and I just remembered clamp on tow mirrors sucked last year. I lost / broke 3 out 4 purchased. (cheap ones yes) so those who installed clear view tow mirrors which is your favorite. the next gen dual mirrors, or the compact...
  4. A couple more box tie-down points.

I have M8 eye bolts in the font 4 above the tie downs. so up front I have 2 eyebolts and the tiedown on each side. I also keep bungie cords in mne all the time for quick tie downs. makes it quick to lock down say a gas can or propane can. and given NH weather I filled both this week.
  5. Automatic headlights don’t always work

winding hills , winding hills with street lights? street lights in general? is it full dark? my don't work if ambient light is still light enough to see the difference between trees. Mine flip off if a street light is to bright, or even if a sign has way to much reflection material on it and...
  6. What’s in your tool kit?

considering the number of lights, and accessories you have I figured you already had that pile.
  7. Amber vs clear

My first hand experience. I was a newish driver driving in a full on snow storm, only slightly milder than what hit buffalo near christmas. (I actually grew up in that region) I could barely see, high beams (pure white light ) was worse. however I discovered that my amber turn signal...
  8. UHaul question

also you may not need much of a drop with uhaul. I rented a utility trailer with ramp and only had a 2" drop receiver handy. yes it was slightly nose high but only slightly. uhaul raises their noses a little bit on those custom trailers. (uhaul trailers are sought after, for being cheap...
  9. To warm-up or not to warm-up...

There is a difference between letting the engine warm and lube up vs the cab. Also the engine starting is when most of that damage is going to be done, at 1,000 RPM idle, everything has had a 1,000 chances to break in the first minute. So don't feel bad about starting and going. by the time...
  10. What are you guys towing?

okay now i am more confused. AFtermarket backup lights, a busted tailgate molding, a trash bag hanging half in/ half out of the tailgate trailer strapping that goes down the front corner, under the trailer and then tied off to the rail. (I get tying off the excess, but under the trailer...
  11. Post your off-road pics.

I do not believe this is the approved method for washing your truck. where is the 303 spray? also @AzScorpion might get jealous at the amount of water you are using to wash your truck.

  14. Well It Impressed Me Again

rented a uhaul utility trailer, to pickup up my lawn mower. (once a decade I splurge on a full service for the engine)I was thinking I would need a a new ball mount drop but the uhaul 5x9 tailer was just a tad nose high with a 2" drop. I was slightly worried about brakes, but not overall...
  15. Your rig in epic camp sites!

apparently you haven't met my inlaws. Microwaved food, and they weigh as much as bears. still I would rather convince a black bear not to eat my food, than convince my inlaws to not eat my food.
  16. What did you do to your Ranger today?

I use driver side only, and i modified mine with a plywood divider to help keep things seperate. for my use it contains my ratchet straps, the small parts holder has a charging cable, and misc small tools, The other side of the plywood, has my primary ball mount, 2 balls, and a 30" crescent...
  17. Adding backup lights on 2022 lariat/ tremor ranger

it also prevents you from using it when you need to backup to a trailer in the dark. That sucked getting lights at just the right angle to see the connection, but not to flood out the backup camera.
  18. PHEV Ranger

as long as it maintains the 7500# tow rating (or better) I am all in. I average 26mpg summer, and 21 mpg winter, as I have a 15 mile commute.
