  1. Rear Window Replacement?

I don't, unfortunately... It's not for lack of trying, though :) Aside from searches and talking with truck / canopy shops, I've spoken with custom vehicle glass shops, etc. Unfortunately, the one link I found above is the only lead I've found. It's not what I'm looking for, so I'm not going...
  2. The FULL Sync 3 menu inside

A few more interesting things after looking around in the linked gallery above: 1) One of the interesting *enable-able* features in the full hidden menu, was Evasive Steering. Here's Ford's description: link to Ford. It's available on the Explorer. Obviously, that's a different vehicle and...
  3. Recirc Annoyance

My understanding was the HEPA filters do trap way more, specifically fine particles that cheap paper filters will not. Do others have more info on whether the vehicle's circulation system can handle the higher backpressure of a HEPA filter?
  4. Did Ford fix the Ranger doors from swinging open uncontrollably.

I noticed the same thing on my 2021. There is only one cam-stop position, and after that, the doors swing open with an uncomfortably fast speed. I consistently worry about hitting other cars as well. My 3G ranger did not have this issue; for my taste, the door stops and swing were well done.
  5. The FULL Sync 3 menu inside

Thanks for asking -- it accidentally became activated through a sequence of Forscan settings changes; those changes were not related to the full menu coming up. So, I'm guessing this is a random bug in Sync3 which led to the menu appearing.
  6. The FULL Sync 3 menu inside

A few weeks ago, I mentioned in the Forscan thread that i accidentally got a complete Sync 3 menu up while loading settings, including items we only set in Forscan (and can't see in Sync) ... But, the menu went away after a power cycle, and I was never able to reproduce what it took to bring it...
  7. Rear Camera

If it's helpful, I just posted a brief summary of the setup i have at this link.
  8. Camper build (stealth)

Project #2 Adding wireless trigger system to trigger lights, radio, some canopy utils, etc. I used a Six-Shooter, and put the controller in the overhead console. The six shooter is mounted to an insulating plexiglass sheet, that's mounted to the battery. I used thick removable zip ties so that...
  9. Camper build (stealth)

Project # 1 I added a camera system to view several angles useful for obstacle detection (rocks, etc), backing up, seeing vehicles in a broader ranger, etc. 1) The main camera module is the Rostra 250-8455. It has 5x RCA video inputs, and an HDMI input. A custom cable assembly cleanly routes...
  10. Camper build (stealth)

I've learned much from reading these forums -- thanks all :) I'll share back some of what I've learned as well. This thread is about a build to make a versatile camper that looks as inconspicuous as possible. I had one with my '97 XLT, and have been working on additional changes to my '21 XLT...
  11. Fuel in oil

Agreed. Or, since the prime takes 1 second, what my older ranger did: prime as soon as key turn starts. The key turn takes 1/4-1/2 second, I'm willing to wait an extra 1/2 second for the engine to start :P (for keyless, perhaps slight delay before priming)
  12. Fuel in Oil: Disconnect door sensor?

There has been discussion in the Fuel in Oil thread, on whether or not the ("needless"?) injector priming on door open, sitting in garage, etc, could be causing the dilution issue. I'm checking to see, are there any bad side-effects to disconnecting the door sensor for a test for a few hundred...
  13. Fuel in oil

Firstly: i would also want to disable that priming, but am not sure if there's a problem turning it off. Phil or others could probably advise; i'll start another thread on that. Second: since there wasn't (that i could tell) a way to disable that feature, perhaps we could disconnect the door...
  14. Backup camera: what are its specs?

I see. I have a bunch of 720p cameras I've been using, and they are definitely worse than stock. So, the screen is not the limitation.
  15. Backup camera: what are its specs?

Thanks; do you mean that the stock backup camera is 1080p? If so, where is that info from? As mentioned, i was unable to find any info on it... Also, I haven't found any true 1080p backup cameras (only kits with monitors, etc), eg ones that say 1080p are speced as 1080x720, which is *720p* and...
  16. Backup camera: what are its specs?

No, i added an aftermarket sync3 module and video switcher (I'll make a separate post about my vehicle's mods shortly, which will have all the details)
  17. Backup camera: what are its specs?

Does anyone know what the OEM backup camera's specs are? Online searches didn't yield any specs So far I've added 6 additional cameras to my 2021 (connected to Sync3), and none of them have as nice a picture quality as the stock backup camera. They use the same screen, so I know it's not a...
  18. How strong are the bed sidewalls?

How strong are the bed sidewalls? Are they strong enough to attach (for example) steel rails to, to hold a sleeping platform ~ 14" off the bottom? I had a good (standard) sleeping setup in my '97 ranger, and I'm thinking of doing it a different way for the '21 to free up more bottom space. My...
  19. Back up camera - upgrade possible?

Just out of curiosity, what makes this higher-end than the stock camera? The resolution for the summitview rock camera is 480p, which seems less than the stock backup camera....
