Unlikely to be the weight of the kayak.
I beat the hell out of this truck and often carry heavy loads on the tailgate. Including loads of wood and driving ATV's across it, stone. So much weight that I had to look up the weight limit of the tailgate to ensure I wasnt going to break it (dont...
I believe mine is 20%. I know its darker than 35%.
When I tinted, I just told them to match the rears....
I have a sedan that I recently but ceramic tint on. Let me tell you... it looks sharper and blocks more heat. If you can afford the premium, go for ceramic. You wont regret it.
Based on experience.... I couldn't agree more!!!! You, and your wife, will regret the Ranger as her daily driver. No way man. She will kill you after just a few months with kids. Where you gonna put the stroller, diaper bag, and all the gear that comes with kids. No frigg'n way.
I beat the snot out of this thing. This was my 4th load of crap I hauled off. The next day I loaded (un-gently) a 1/2 yard of 2" stone for a rock garden. Love this truck.

As a teen...
I have been using one for 75k miles. I have always used them in my trucks. I clean them periodically. More air the better. Does it improve mileage... Dunno... hard to say as I am usually doing more than one thing to improve mileage and I didnt do a proper before/after with the k/n on the...

Grandfather #2 was there - Army Air force. He was a mechanic. During his tour, they had POW's on his base. One...
Best advice:
1. You will have regular and consistent repairs and maintenance of the trailer (no matter the brand). Don't be one of those guys that spaz every time something breaks. These houses on wheels go thru a prolonged magnitude 4 earthquake every time you take it out.
2. Load it with...
