  1. Intelligent Ranger? Kinda scary

You can completely turn off the 'Driver Alert' in the Settings screen. Most of the Fords are now coming with that feature. All part of the increasing "Nanny" features that are slowly going to allow drivers to become even worse than they already are.
  2. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Yes. Should be a 6 digit code that begins with an F, then 5 numbers
  3. Oil Catch Can. Yes or No?

I plan to get a catch can once there is something available. I have to drain my 5.0L GT (NA) every 1000 miles - I'm getting about 3 oz every thousand miles. I would check it monthly, noting miles, until you have a good feel for how long you can let it go. Let a catch can overflow, and you've...
  4. Lariat upgraded sound system

The B&O systems in all of the Ford vehicles that are getting it now sound much better than the top of the line Sony systems that have been replaced. The Ranger's B&O stereo is very impressive. Although, I know I can't hear all the crispness of a good stereo now like I could in my younger days...
  5. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Unfortunately, I am only able to look up Vehicle Visibility for VIN numbers if I know the Dealer Code of the ordering dealer.
  6. Trailer Tow Package Does Contain 4 Wires for Aftermarket Brake Controller Install

Pretty sure you have to splice the 4 wires under the dash in the Ranger, since they don't come with the harness in the glovebox. The Redarc one for the Ranger has the 4 individual wires at the other end of the plug that attaches to the remote unit. After using the far superior factory brake...
  7. Thoughts on this wheel/tire combo?

Stock aluminum wheels on all the Fords I've owned have always been heavier than any of the aftermarket ones I've added, so you may actually have some weight savings going with aftermarket, even going wider. My experience has been on Super Duty trucks, Mustangs, and an Edge.
  8. Removed Keypad To Get my Ranger Built

Sync Connect is now called Ford Pass Connect for 2019
  9. Bed Alignment Issues from Factory

Spray bedliner crews remove bolts on F150's and Super Duty trucks - those have the bolt heads at the top of the beds. Look at the Ranger bed - there are no visible bolts, hence, bolts installed from underneath, therefore bedliner installers do not remove bed bolts when spraying the Ranger. I...
  10. SOLVED: Shimmer / slight lugging in rear when accelerating at low speed?

As mentioned before, all Ford vehicles come from the factory with tires over-inflated for shipping, with the exception of the Super Duty trucks (they are under-inflated, probably because the suspensions are so stiff to begin with). ALL dealership PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) personnel have a...
  11. Removed Keypad To Get my Ranger Built

The FordPass phone app does NOT require any subscription. As long as your vehicle is within range of some sort of nearby wifi, your FordPass phone app can remote start your vehicle, if your vehicle has the FordPass Connect. Technically, you could start your vehicle from across the country as...
  12. Bed Alignment Issues from Factory

Our first Ranger, an XLT Crew that we sold last week, came back in this morning with the rear seatback that wouldn't latch. Slightly misaligned beds are more common than you'd think on F150's and Super Duty's also. Bolts are underneath on the new Ranger.
  13. Trailer Tow Package Does Contain 4 Wires for Aftermarket Brake Controller Install

There is no controller pigtail harness in the glove box in the 2 new Rangers with the Tow Package that I checked on our lot, like you find in the F150's that do not have the factory installed brake controller. I have not pulled the trim panel under the dash to see if maybe there is a pigtail...
