Were you able to get this to work on yours? Even without the pin on the shim I had none of the bolt head passing through the shim to engage with the axle.

Does anyone have pictures of the side rails after being drilled? The RCI rack looks like it drills through the side of the top rail which doesn't seem too beefy.
