Can you describe your clunking? I have an issue with a front end "clunk" but only when things really heat up. Meaning stop and go driving in 90°+ temps or if I let the trunk run with the pup in it for 20+ minutes. Is yours audible or more something you feel?
It's the Arches Overlander. I think it's fantastic, my wife and I each keep some sweatpants/pajamas, a t-shirt, and a couple pairs of socks & underwear in the big pocket. Rain jackets in the smaller pocket and as you may expect toiletries in the removable pocket. The removable one is a game...
I agree with this but imagine if Ford actually fixed the problem when you took your truck to a dealership. No more need for a vocal minority, just satisfied customers who had $hit happen and got it resolved. The lack of resolution from Ford is what leads someone who paid $50K on something that...
I have a good bit of weight on the truck most of the time so I went with ARB 600 lb. springs. I wasn't super happy with the ARB suspension so I went back to the Tremor suspension with the Deaver HD springs. About two months ago I paid Ford to torque all my suspension bolts front and rear as I...
I am not about to sue Ford, but I was successful with a "Serious Safety Issue" lemon law on my Gladiator. On the Gladiator it wouldn't go into full on death wobble, but the steering wheel would shake violently at 70+ mph and the only way to recover was to slow to 45 mph or less. On a major...
Glad I could offer a different perspective that I haven't seen much detail on before. Let me know if you have any specific questions, this was a learning experience but I was able to do it with just a track saw, router, and hand drills!
Thanks, it was a lot of work! If I had to do it again I'd probably just pay the Goose. But then again, I kept templates of the top and back so if I had to do it again I'll probably end up using those. :headbang:
I'm posting this for anyone looking for people who may be researching different ways to tackle a rear seat delete. It is very similar in design to the only commercially available product I am aware of. I have made a few changes in the overall design to suit my needs, specifically a shelf as...
You are correct that this is the best way on a Tremor. Power comes from the aux wire, through the light, and ends up on the negative side where you land on the chassis. No need for the harness it comes with as long as (like you mentioned) you stay within the amperage limits of said auxiliary...
I haven't used mine yet, but I went with the Ford Protect 100,000 mile warranty. I did this about 23 months and 28,000 miles into ownership. I went with the Premium Care option because it covers everything the factory warranty covers and with a $100 deductible it was right around $2800. I didn't...
I've experienced what I would say is shifting performance that degrades over time as well. I put the Ford Performance tune on at about 4,000 miles because of the amount of bogging the engine would do. After the tune, I felt the truck drove amazing. At around 15,000 I started using tow/haul mode...
This actually costs $55 new, not $75. I know because I bought a second one to rotate with the one I got with my tune. I wouldn't recommend offering the $20 the seller states they want. In return you will get a lecture on how cheap you are.
It will clear the tailgate latches by 1/2" per side but it doesn't look like it will fit between the front of the bed and the tailgate. Looks like it's about 1-2 inches too long.
