Somewhat related to the above - how do Ford Pass points work? I just got my new card and welcome letter in the mail. I got my complimentary 42,000 points.
How many dollars of value is this? $42.00? $420.00? Can it only be used for service/maintenance at the dealership? Can I buy parts or...
To the best of my knowledge it does not have a Technology Package - at least not beyond what I think is standard on the XLT. In addition to the collision assist I have the tail light blind spot sensors and various front and rear proximity sensors. I do not have adaptive cruise control - only...
I imagine you would have to take your chances. Looks like some pretty low end stuff and customer reviews appear to show some problems. On the other had many of the dress up items look like they simply tape onto the various surfaces of the truck and are somewhat generic in design and dimensions...
The pre-collision assist worked for me yesterday. I have an XLT. I was in traffic in the city. Zoning out a bit when a car in front of me stopped suddenly as a car in front of them did the same to turn into a parking lot. A large bright colored warning that took up most of my instrument display...
This raises another noob question. Are the turbines always running and the only way that air is introduced into the engine? Or is it a case where the engine is normally aspirated at low speed/light loads and the turbos only kick in when "needed" based on the engine load?
This ties into a MPG...
Thanks VAMike. I think you hit it right on the head. I didn't even know an intercooler existed. I just took a look at a couple diagrams and I think I understand the setup now. It's interesting - most generic diagrams I find show the fresh air circulating through the system but don't seem to show...
My Ranger engine is my first turbocharged engine. I noticed the fresh air intake tube/hose on each turbo attaches to the grill area of the truck. The question just crossed my mind - is there an air filter on each air intake somewhere? If not what keeps dust and such out of the engine? It appears...
Had to throw in a spray on bedliner, tonneau cover and set of Husky custom fit mats. Not complaining - I fully knew what I was getting into. I'm a first time truck owner. They do seem to be more "needy" than a typical car. I'm really enjoying it so far however.
Hello Guys. Long time reader, First post. My experience has been like Ranger Pride. I hear the roar in the morning when starting to drive on a cold engine. I too however stopped today to run into a store for about 10 minutes. I had driven several miles to the store so engine was a operating temp...
