Took my Ranger out for a ride in the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge yesterday and today installed yellow/amber LED pods and A-pillar brackets from fordrangerlifts. Pods were just cheapo amazon ones mainly for looks right now, and Robby's brackets feel super sturdy and were a breeze to install. Had them...
You definitely have to get an alignment. I waited about a week before getting it done after installing, and the toe angle is pretty noticeable. Looks much better after install and alignment though.
Hey y’all,
One more update: Managed to find the hardware needed (I used a M12x1.75x80mm, a 70mm would work just as good) at tractor supply co and rig up a temporary fix with a ferrule we had laying around in there towards the head of the bolt where the splines are to keep vibration to a...
Definitely gonna look into something like that here perhaps quicker than I had hoped, I planned on saving up for it slowly but looks like I might have to eat rice and beans for the next couple weeks to make sure my truck looks good and handles even better haha! I know it’s a truck and completely...
Thanks, Definitely also gonna check out tractor supply co if Ford doesn’t have what I need, looks like they have it in class 8.8 if the online inventory is accurate. Only issue is the closest one to me is 20 miles away... With how much trouble this has been so far I think I’m gonna move to a...
Hey y'all a little update:
I managed to extract the broken stud from the strut relatively easy (with help). I didn't think to take pictures of the setup, but I just placed the head side face down in a long metal tube flush up against the horizontal "t" of the strut the with the bottom of the...
Hope it doesnt come to that, but good to know. Sounds like you've been through the ringer with that experience. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. I was 2 minutes away from putting the lugnuts back on and going for a shake down drive, but thats just indicative of my luck haha!
Will definitely look there first as soon as I get off work. Thanks for the recommendation! I normally go to Oreilly's for stuff like this but never had a catastrophic failure like this happen... And haha I do appreciate the offer but I should be able to handle it with the help of my...
Wow, great to know, exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Was there any specific reason you went with them and in that size? I know since they're so new you are essentially the guinea pig for the Destination XTs
Hey y'all,
I ran into a little issue today while installing my leveling kit. My torque wrench managed to malfunction and didn't click on the very last bolt which managed to snap it right in half. I'm not sure if I'm calling it by the right name but it would be one of the 2 long 18mm studs that...
thanks for the reply, definitely good info! I guess I’ll just have to go get a few different recommended tires test fitted and see which brand passes the eye test haha
Hey y'all,
I'm currently looking into replacing the stock Bridgestones after I'll be done installing my 2.5" leveling kit later today. I'm looking into 265/70/r17 Firestone Destination XTs but heres the thing: I'm a college student and go back and forth between Mississippi and Texas quite a few...
Hey y'all,
Just traded in my 2016 Guard Green ecoboost Mustang (which I absolutely loved, just wanted something more practical) and brought home this XLT Sport home four days ago. Got spray in bedliner and front tint to match the rest yesterday. I have a 2.5" RC level that will be delivered...
